Brille Petit Debuts New Titles at 4th Philippine Book Festival

MANDALUYONG CITY — Brille Petit made a landmark appearance at the 4th Philippine Book Festival held last March 12–15, 2026, at SM Megamall’s Megatrade Hall. Marking its first time hosting a dedicated booth, the imprint spotlighted its titles and newest releases, kicking off with a special reading of the multi-awarded Sa Iisang Batya at the Gubat stage. The warmly received presentation preceded a series of storybook launches that ushered in fresh engagements for the imprint, highlighting its commitment to growing the local literary landscape.

Serving as an official launchpad for two new titles, Brille Petit’s PBF booth featured interactive book signings and a fun-filled reading session for kids. On March 13, illustrator Biyahe ni Raya and newbie author Anicia Salangsang debuted the heartwarming Ang Pambihirang Papag ni Lolo Sebyo to a packed audience, gaining overwhelming support for their collaborative work. The following day featured award-winning artist Danielle Florendo and acclaimed children’s book author Trist’n Buenaflor, championing people with Tourette Syndrome during the launch of Ang Boom at Palakpak ni Viktor. The talented pair from Baguio captured the hearts of little kids with a brief storytelling session, catching the attention of curious onlookers and PBF’s own media team. Brille Petit’s showcases concluded with a book signing by illustrator Marx Fidel, whose warm presence drew in a diverse crowd of readers and fellow artists.

Reflecting on the successful four-day run, the Brille Petit team expressed deep gratitude to the National Book Development Board (NBDB) for spearheading the event, providing a platform to connect independent publishers with the public, and successfully amplifying the profiles of homegrown stories.
