On May 21, 2025, the representatives of Brille Petit Imprint attended the Severino Reyes Medal awarding ceremony held at the Epifanio De Los Santos Auditorium of the historic National Library of the Philippines.
Now on its second year, this national award recognizes outstanding publishers, authors, and illustrators, who have contributed to the shaping of the Filipino children’s and young adult literature.
The awarding ceremony was well-attended and graced by Director Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano of the National Library of the Philippines, Executive Director Charisse Aquino-Tugade of the National Book Development Board, and the heirs of Severino Reyes. The event was truly a celebration of Filipino creativity.
Together with Rommel Joson, the illustrator of “Sa Iisang Batya”, the President of Brilliant Creations Publishing, received the medals for Best Picture Book.
In his speech, Rommel Joson expressed his gratitude to the judges, the IBBY-PH and the NDBD for the honor.
